An operator’s view of AI, not a salesman’s.

I spent more than 30 years building and running a Miami managed IT and cloud company, growing it from two people to fifteen and serving 200+ small and mid-sized businesses through its acquisition. I now bring that experience to AI: what’s worth automating, what’s hype, and how to roll it out securely without disrupting the business.

Along the way I led cloud migrations, built NIST- and SOC 2-aligned security programs, sustained 99.99% availability on managed platforms, and led technical due diligence through the company’s acquisition. Today I also serve as a fractional CTO for growing companies.

Do you work with small businesses?

Yes. Most of my career was spent running IT for small and mid-sized businesses: more than 200 clients, from dental practices and law firms to insurance agencies. AI engagements are sized for companies without an in-house IT department.

Is it safe to use AI with client data?

It can be, with the right tools, settings and policies. Security and compliance were core to my managed IT work, so every AI rollout includes access controls, data-handling rules and a written AI use policy, including for regulated practices such as dental and legal.
